China's Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen said that Beijing implemented a number of measures to make sure foreign investment continues to flow in to the country. He was speaking at a State Council briefing on the optimisation of the issue in Beijing on Tuesday.
"China has good infrastructure, facilities as well as labor productivity, which maintains the interest for foreign investment. I have full confidence for the foreign investments in China this year and I am also optimistic for the conditions in 2020," said the Vice Minister.
The measures come as China is engaged in a number of trade disputes with the US. The importantce of opening up to foreign investors was acknowledged by president Xi Jinping at an international forum earlier this month.
